Winter Surf
Sennen Beach is a famous surf spot, with beach breaks to the left and right and with views of Land’s End.
Just further North is Gwynver Beach with can be described as “the most exposed beach in the UK” as it faces due West. It works best on small to medium swells and we were lucky enough to get in as the tide was going out on New Year’s Day
Relax in a Hot Tub
Nothing quite beats a long walk (or drive!) soaking in your very own wood fired hot tub gazing into the stars -

The natural beauty of the UK is at its best at its edges and most exposed parts. The West of Cornwall is special as it hosts both:

Highlights from hiking on SWCP
Lamorna Cove to Mousehole Circle: A lovely loop which took a couple of hours from Lamorna Cove on the coast path to Mousehole for breakfast and back on the inland route with stunning views of St Michael’s Mount.
Porthcurno to The Logan Rock pub: The white sands of Porthcurno Beach are stunning start to this walk, along the coast path there were beautiful rolling waves coming into Pedn Vounder Beach below, then cutting inland at Logan Rock to the pub was a welcome midway pint before heading back.
Get cosy in Coverack
This picturesque fishing village boasts a stunning bay, where we spotted a lone swimmer and his dog in the calm sea. We weren’t quite brave enough to go in but will have to go back! Archie’s Loft is a cosy spot to warm up with a homemade soup or coffee with a view overlooking the harbour.
Be amazed at the Minack Theatre
An incredible open air theatre carved into the cliffside and overlooking the blue waters of Porthcurno Bay. Book a show or wander round the gardens and visit the cafe.
Spend time with Seals Sanctuary
Set in the Helford Estuary, wandering around the woods and pools housing the rescue animals was a lovely walk in itself. The centre conducts research around the effects of plastic on seals as well as rescue, rehabilitation and release of them.
